From the dark and haunting recesses of the collective minds behind the comic group 44 Flood comes a Kickstarter event that is not to be missed! Extracting images from the blackest shadowed corners of their minds 44 Flood is hoping to make TOME (a hardcover collection featuring the art and words of some of the comic worlds best and most sinister artists) a part of your collection.

At the time of my writing this the event is already off to a most impressive start. Having only gone live this very morning, the event is already at the halfway mark toward reaching their goal! If you know anything about Kickstarter events this is actually a major accomplishment. But don’t let that deter you from making your pledge as there are some truly fantastic incentives for those who donate toward the cause.

Contributing artists thus far to the TOME collection are as follows:

The artists in TOME so far are:

  • Ashley Wood (artist, writer) – Lore, Hellspawn, 3A Toys
  • Ben Templesmith (artist, writer) – 30 Days of Night, Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse, Fell
  • Bill Sienkiewicz (artist, writer) – Elektra: Assassin, Stray Toasters
  • Chet Zar (fine artist, SFX artist) – Tool music videos, Hellboy I & II motion pictures
  • David Stoupakis (artist) – Korn album cover artist
  • George Pratt (artist, writer) – Enemy Ace: War Idyll, Sandman, Wolverine: Netsuke
  • Guillermo Rigattieri (fine artist)
  • Kasra Ghanbari (writer, art agent) – MONOCYTE, Drawing the Line Again Anthology
  • Matthew Bone (fine artist)
  • menton3 (artist, writer, musician) – ZvR, Silent Hill, MONOCYTE, Saltillo
  • Richard Walters (singer, songwriter, musician)
  • Riley Rossmo (artist, writer) – Proof, Green Wake, Rebel Blood
  • Scott Radke (fine artist) – Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland
  • Steve Niles (writer) – 30 Days of Night, Criminal Macabre
Do you see that list? Wow, right? Well, there’s more! For your generous donations you’ll also be able to take home some truly worth while incentive packages including but not limited to exclusive art prints, your name and a “Thank You” printed inside the book and so much more! To check out all the reward-like goodness you’ll have to head on over to the Kickstarter page to check them out.

As I’ve stated, the event is already underway and the pledges are rolling in. Be sure to get in on the action before all of the tasty incentive packages are eaten up. I myself am so tempted to plunk down on that $200 pledge so I can snag all of those amazing prints and then party with the 44 Flood collective at the launch event for the book. Either way, this is going to be one truly amazing collection and is not to be missed by any fan of stunning comic book art.
