Talking Movies episode 136: Listener Supported Series #2 – A Perfect World

We’re back for another installment of our Listener Supported Series, discussing a Clint Eastwood directorial effort suggested to us by one of our fabulous Talking Movies fans.

Brian and Chris are on hand to tackle A Perfect World, a Kevin Costner-starring crime drama/road movie that Brian literally slept on when it was released back in 1993 (Nick sits this one out, as he’s still meticulously organizing his DVD collection after his recent move). Does the film live up to the steely-eyed actor-turned-filmmaker’s better-remembered work?

Find out what the guys thought, plus: Chris heckles his way to a good time with “the stupidest movie on the planet”, Brian catches up on some flicks from the last few years, including 10 Cloverfield Lane and the sci-fi creature feature Life, and a film that includes some of the choicest cuts of Al Pacino scenery-chewing gets crossed off one of our “Lists of Shame”.
