The gang are all back together and while Steve, Bob and Bobby are still recuperating from Hurricane Sandy, Stephanie is recuperating from finding a snake in her bedroom (she’s had it with these motherf*cking snakes in her motherf*cking bedroom!). True story.

However, onto more relevant things, the Topic of the Week is based around a question. We all rag on the big companies putting out our favourite comics, but what would we do differently? For the sake of time and such, we’ve chosen one particular company to focus on and that’s Marvel (who have, of course, just launched Marvel NOW).

But before we get to that discussion, first up is everyone’s Books of the Week, which include: Batgirl Annual, Invincible, Steed and Mrs. Peel #2, X-Factor #246, Detective Comics #14, Marvel NOW’s Deadpool #1, Legends of the Dark Knight and more!

Annnnnnnnnnd… we say it on the show, but just in case you missed it, the Talking Comics crew on Twitter are:

Bobby: @bobbyshortle
Steve: @dead_anchoress
Stephanie: @hellocookie
And Bob’s email is bobreyer@talkingcomicbooks.com

FYI: the gang have brand new avatars on Twitter, Facebook and they’ll be uploaded here to the Talking Comics site shortly. The crew have gone all superhero on the world, thanks to the wonderful Hanie Mohd. Like them? Make sure to follow her and let us know what you think of our new superhero pictures.

The Comic Book Podcast is brought to you by Talking Comics (www.talkingcomicbooks.com), a blog dedicated to covering the latest and greatest in comic book releases. The editorial staff is composed of Editor-in-Chief Bobby Shortle (Fanboy Remix, Doctor Whocast), Stephanie Cooke (JoBlo.com) and Steve Seigh (JoBlo.com contributor) who weekly dissect the releases and give you, the consumer, a simple Roman yay or nay regarding them. Our Twitter handle is @TalkingComics and you can email us at info@talkingcomicbooks.com. Until next issue … to be continued!

Stephanie is [obviously] a comic book fan, but she also considers herself an avid gamer, movie watcher, lover of music, board games fan (although she doesn’t find nearly enough time for them…) and being snarky. Oh, and Twitter. Twitter’s a hobby, right?…

What's your reaction?
