Marvel have announced that one of the repercussions of the upcoming ‘Avengers: Standoff’ event will be a brand new Thunderbolts team. Led by Bucky Barnes, aka The Winter Soldier, the new ongoing book will be written by Jim Zub with art from Jon Malin.
The new Thunderbolts team will see a return for many classic members with Moonstone, The Fixer, Atlas and Mach-V returning under the guidance of The Winter Soldier.
Writer Jim Zub has given us a tease for what we can expect in terms of tones from the book, saying: “Doing the right thing is different than being good. We’ve assembled a potent mix of characters to explore with big drama, big action and unexpected twists along the way. The new team is stacked with powerful personalities and a mission that’s going to tear them up and get right to their core. I’m excited about putting them in tough spots and letting the sparks fly.”
Thunderbolts #1 written by Jim Zub, featuring art by Jon Malin hits comic shops and digital in May.
