The ever-expanding DC television universe seems to show no signs of stopping, as Deadline.com reported that TNT is close to ordering a pilot for Titans, based on the DC Comics team.
The show will center on Dick Grayson as Nightwing, and feature members of the team including Starfire and Raven. The dropping of the “teen” descriptor from the team’s title suggests this will be a more adult take on the property.
Oscar-winning screenwriter Akiva Goldsmith, who scripted both Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, and worked on the small screen as writer, director, and consulting producer of Fringe, is co-writing and executive producing the project.
Currently, Teen Titans Go!, an animated update of the Teen Titans series, is airing on Cartoon Network.
