Talking Comics: ‘Sing No Evil’ Rock n Roll Variant Art Contest
Hey everyone! We’re nearing the close of 2015, and thought it would be fun to end the year by giving you all the chance to win something awesome! We’ve got 3 brand-new copies of JP Ahonen & KP Alare’s mind-bending and hyper visual graphic novel ‘Sing No Evil‘ up for grabs, and one of them could be yours! All you’ve got to do is create an original Rock n Roll Variant Cover!
Twenty-something guitarist Aksel stutters when he sings, and the latest reviews say he has the voice of a crow with throat plague. That’s not a compliment, even for the avant-garde music his band Perkeros plays. Aksel is having a hard time keeping the band together, stopping his girlfriend from kicking him out, and not getting eaten by his drummer (who happens to be a cranky brown bear). There are also the rival bands that Perkeros find themselves in battle with to save the city from supernatural forces set loose by ancient music. The key to it all could be in the music Aksel hears in his dreams—if it doesn’t drive him mad first. With a visual soundtrack that blasts off the page, Sing No Evil is a wild ride through otherworldly dangers and the power of pure rock’n’roll.

You’ve seen those Marvel Hip-Hop Variant Covers, right? Pretty cool, yeah? Well, we thought it would be fun to ask our fans, friends, and contestants to create their own Rock n Roll Variant Cover art! Sounds pretty sweet, huh? And now that you know the theme, you’re all pumped up and ready to enter, huh? That’s the spirit! Allow us to present to you the rules of this contest, then!
CONTEST INFO & RULES
This contest is open to those living in United States, only.
All entries must be of your own creation. No funny business. Any submissions presented falsely will be immediately disqualified.
You may use any medium you wish to create your art. This means drawings, creative Photoshop images, photographs, ect.
Your art must contain comic book characters that have been creatively inserted into known Rock n Roll or Heavy Metal album covers.
Your entry must be submitted before Midnight EST on December 31st, 2015. One entry per person, please.
There will be a total of 3 winners! Winners will receive a copy of the graphic novel ‘Sing No Evil’, as well as original bookplate art, compliments of JP Ahonen!
Additionally, the art will be featured on our site for everyone to see!
