Talon tries to break a generational curse and a shocking secret is revealed this issue.
At the end of last issue, our heroic Talon was captured by the Grandmaster Owl’s Talons. At the beginning of this story, Talon the great escapist makes his escape, leaving the grandfather, father, and son Talons in the dust. Expressing their disappointment in thier heir, the son leaps to his feet in pursuit of Calvin. When he does catch up to Calvin, Calvin tries to get the Talon to join his side. Does he succeed?
Meanwhile, Sarah believes that Sebastian is keeping something from her and Calvin and sets out to investigate only to discover a shocking truth, which in turn Calvin discovers as well. After finishing his butchering, the Butcher Talon has the Dark Knight in his sights only to be told by the court to stand down or get blown up. Will Batman find Calvin or will the Butcher find him first?
Great writing usually equals great stories and in this case it’s true. The twist at the end of the story keeps me intrigued for what will happen next. March’s artwork is wonderful as usual.
Verdict:
Buy it, this story of a Talon rebeling keeps getting better.
