Amid speculation, rumors and multiple scriptwriters, the Fantastic Four reboot has finally found its cast. The news comes three months after the reveal that Fox would be moving the release of Fantastic Four to June of 2015 after pushing back the upcoming adaptation of Assassin’s Creed and moving up Matthew Vaughan’s adaptation of Mark Millar’s Secret Service. Originally planned for the Spring of 2015, the film was moved to Summer to give Simon Kinberg enough time to finish rewrites from Jeremy Slater, Michael Green and Seth Grahame-Smith’s original script.
But even with a set release date and a finished script, a film can’t shoot without a cast. Up to this point, only Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale Station) had been cast as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, but now the other three members of the Fantastic Four have been cast, and all three are close to finalizing their deals with Fox. Kate Mara (House of Cards) will play Susan Storm/The Invisible Woman, Jamie Bell (The Adventures of Tintin) will play Ben Grimm/The Thing and Miles Teller (Divergent) will play Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic.
The Fantastic Four reboot will be released on June 19th, 2015.
