- While crossovers are hardly new (and seem to be all the rage at the moment) I’m cautiously optimistic about this. While The Planet of the Apes has some sci-fi elements, Green Lantern is deep in the sci-fi waters. However, given that Boom! Studios and DC had a remarkable 2016, I’ll give this a chance. –Max

Nightwing #14 (Arc Conclusion) – Tim Seeley & Marcus To
- In my opinion, this current arc has been the best since Nightwing relaunched, with Tim Seeley bringing Dick back to Bludhaven and narrowing the focus of the story away from all the mysterious organizations. Marcus To’s artwork has also been a highlight, bringing a different style to the book that still fits well with Seeley’s often-humorous script. I can’t wait to see how this arc ends and see what’s next for the character. I -John D.
- The bad— a Tomasi/Gleason/Mahnke Superman arc is over. The great— a new one is about to unfurl. –Max

- I can’t tell you exactly where we left everyone when Paper Girls #10 ended because it seems like so long ago now, but the beauty of this book is how easily it snaps readers right back into the story. Brian K. Vaughan knows what he’s doing with this series despite all the multiple timelines and strange inhabitants throughout the book thus far, and of course Cliff Chiang’s artwork has only gotten better. You definitely don’t want to pick this one up if you haven’t read the others but at a measly two trades in, it’s easy to catch up and worth it to do so. -John D.
