First Look At Batman: Arkham Knight

This morning, the first details about the upcoming finale in the Batman “Arkham” series of games was announced, entitled “Batman: Arkham Knights.” Developed by Rocksteady, the team behind Asylum and City (last year’s Origins was developed by Warner Bros Interactive), this next-gen exclusive is promising to be bigger and better than all of the previous games combined. Featuring Scarecrow, Penguin, Two-Face, and Harley Quinn as the main villains (with more promised to be announced), an interactive city that is “far larger” than Arkham City and introducing the Batmobile as a usable, playable mechanic that is a “core element” of the game, Knights is already looking like a fitting conclusion to the series that began 5 years ago.

Little is known about the story as of yet, save for the fact that it takes place one year after the conclusion of Arkham City, but a trailer narrated by Thomas Wayne was released alongside the statement and gives some insight into what to expect from the game.

Batman: Arkham Knights, will be released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 14th, 2014.
