Nothing will be the same for Buddy Baker and his family after this issue. This one hit me hard kinda hard and I don’t tear up very easily (I don’t I watched Titanic everyone in the theater was crying except for me. I mean you that they were gonna die). This is the epilogue for Rotworld and after Buddy and Swamp Thing jump into the pool and return to the present with help from the Parlimamemt of Decay, it’s up to Animal Man to save his family and he’s on his own.
Needless to say a day of triumph over evil is turned to tragedy.
This was a great story. It not only concludes Rotworld and the aftermath of it and this story puts the series back on track after the crossover. This is one of my favorite DC books and I can’t wait to see what happens next. I also have enjoyed the art. I think that the cover was really good it was an homage to a Flash cover from a few years back. I do think that they shouldn’t have put any wording on it except for the title, DC logo, and creator names, because it took a little bit away from the cover and it might have spoiled what takes place in the book.
Verdict:
It’s a strong buy for me.
