It’s the holiday season and as it turns out, Shenani-Girl has a little bit of time on her hands to answer your questions. Whether they’re about comics, life, movies, various geekery or other things, get your questions into Shenanigans for a brand-new Dear Abby style column that’ll be up as frequently as our podcasting superhero can handle. You can send in your questions to stephaniecooke@talkingcomicbooks.com or via Shenani-Girl’s Tumblr page (all responses from Tumblr will be posted on the site).
Dear Shenani-Girl,
One of my best friends hated Skyfall, but I sort of liked it. Settle the matter please.

Dear Chicken Little Was Right,
Your friend is wrong. Skyfall was effing EPIC.
I’m a little concerned that you said that you only “sort of liked it” due to the fact that it needs to be most definitely liked and/or loved, but it’s better than hating it, so we’ll just focus on that for now.
- Daniel Craig is probably the best James Bond to date (if they were to replace him in the near future, I believe Idris Elba could be a very interesting Bond…).
- Ben Whishaw as Q was a brilliant casting choice.
- Javier Bardem should play villains always and every time that he plays a villain, he should win every Academy Award ever. EVER.
****MILD SPOILERS****
I mean that scene where he’s playing with Bond saying the first person to shoot the shot glass off Sévérine’s head, wins… Oh man. So dark and yet so incredibly badass.
****END SPOILERS**** - JUDI DENCH
- I have other reasons but mostly it was amazing because IT JUST WAS.
So in conclusion…
Friend: learn to love Skyfall ASAP. It’s actually written in the friend code of conduct.
Seriously, I’ll have my assistant forward you a copy.
PS – The theme song by Adele is STILL stuck in my head. And I LIKE it.
