There’s no “official” topic for this week’s show but seeing as Bob and Steve took the time to interview some amazing folks at Special Edition NYCC, we include some of their interviews that they got a chance to record while at the show. Interviewees include Gail Simone, Will Sliney and more.

There’s the Lightning Round to get to before interviews and the books discussed are: Rai, Rachel Rising, Velvet, The Mind’s Arrow Archer Coe & The Thousand Natural Shocks, Spirits: The Soul Collector, Shutter, All-New X-Men, Morella and the Murders in the Rue Morgue, Avengers, Nightcrawler, All-New Invaders, She-Hulk, Captain Marvel, and Lumberjanes.

Then there’s Books of the Week and these are on the list: X-Men: No More Humans, The Girl With All The Gifts, Figment, Wars in Toyland, Mighty Avengers, Batgirl, and The Empty Man.

The Comic Book Podcast is brought to you by Talking Comics (www.talkingcomicbooks.com), a blog dedicated to covering the latest and greatest in comic book releases. The editorial staff is composed of Editor-in-Chief Bobby Shortle (Fanboy Remix, Doctor Whocast), Stephanie Cooke (Misfortune Cookie) and Steve Seigh (JoBlo.com contributor) who weekly dissect the releases and give you, the consumer, a simple Roman yay or nay regarding them. Our Twitter handle is @TalkingComics and you can email us at info@talkingcomicbooks.com.

Stephanie is [obviously] a comic book fan, but she also considers herself an avid gamer, movie watcher, lover of music, board games fan (although she doesn’t find nearly enough time for them…) and being snarky. Oh, and Twitter. Twitter’s a hobby, right?…

What's your reaction?
