Legendary Runs Episode 15: Gail Simone’s Secret Six

Mara and Matt have a lot of fun talking about six (or four, or eight, or five) of the worst people you never want to know. Gail Simone’s sense Nightrumpof humor shines in this excellent run, that explores the complexity of villainy in the DC Universe. While Secret Six is one of the longest runs that we have read, it is notorious for having come to an end far too soon because of the The New 52. While it is unlikely Rag Doll, Cat Man, Ban, Jeanette, Scandal, Deadshot, King Shark and the rest will ever cross paths again, at least they will always endure in these 48 issues.

Matt Wood is a high school English teacher in North Arkansas. His classroom is littered with comic book posters and notes about Hawthorne that are as difficult to decipher as they are to be interested in. Not Matt's fault though, Nathaniel Hawthorne…
