The Best Comic Book Conventions in North America

I love comics and I love attending comic book conventions. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to a fair number of them over the past few years. I have my personal favourites but I got to thinking about things from the perspective of people selling their work at shows and from the perspective of the people paying for admission: the pros and the fans. What shows are the best to attend personally and professionally? We constantly get lists of the best attended cons but that really isn’t a good way to tell if a show is ACTUALLY good.

I surveyed a number of people online via Facebook, Twitter and other forms of social media to see what conventions turned up on the list the most. Since there were a lot of responses to the poll, I only used answers that turned up more than once.

It should also be noted that my phrasing of the survey implied that I was only rating shows in North America when I had intended to include shows around the world. Since that was my personal error, I’m limited this list to North American shows but I know there are several shows overseas that would’ve definitely showed up on this list under other circumstances and we’ll revisit this survey again in the near future to show that.

Stephanie is [obviously] a comic book fan, but she also considers herself an avid gamer, movie watcher, lover of music, board games fan (although she doesn’t find nearly enough time for them…) and being snarky. Oh, and Twitter. Twitter’s a hobby, right?…

What's your reaction?
