DaleThis is a sad time for indie comics as we’ve just lost an absolutely wonderful member of the community. Jeremy Dale was a friend to so many people in the industry and you would be hard-pressed to ever remember a time when you didn’t see him laughing or smiling. I’m proud to have called him a friend and I’m heartbroken by the loss.

He leaves behind his charming and delightful wife, Kelly and their beloved dog. He also leaves behind medical bills from being hospitalized and Kelly will need help with that and more for the next little while.

So many of us know just how much medical bills can cost, especially without insurance and add on the burden of what we already have on our plates and it is positively overwhelming. We need to come together and help out Kelly in her time of need and allow her to just be able to focus on grieving for her incredible loss.

If you can donate anything at all, please do so over on our Help Out Kelly Dale GoFundMe page.

Stephanie is [obviously] a comic book fan, but she also considers herself an avid gamer, movie watcher, lover of music, board games fan (although she doesn’t find nearly enough time for them…) and being snarky. Oh, and Twitter. Twitter’s a hobby, right? Stephanie is a purveyor of too many projects and outside of Talking Comics she’s done work for JoBlo.com, Agents of Geek, Word of the Nerd, C&G Magazine, Dork Shelf, Misfortune Cookie (her personal blog for words and pictures) and more. She wrote a story for the anthology The Secret Loves of Geek Girls (coming in October 2016 from Dark Horse) and she also runs Toronto Geek Trivia in her home city. She can be found helping out at other “geek” community things around there.
