“Can anyone defeat the Red Skull?”

That’s the question asked at the end of the trailer just released by Marvel in preparation for the AXIS event set to launch this fall.

The three-and-a-half minute long trailer digests the events of Avengers vs. X-Men and the fall-out as covered in Rick Remender’s Uncanny Avengers. It summarizes the rise of the Red Skull in the wake of Professor X’s death, as well as Captain America’s formation of the Unity Squad and the events of the subsequent “Avenge the Earth” arc. The end of the trailer shows the Red Skull establishing his base at Genosha, and teases the members of both the hero and villain teams of AXIS.

The main AXIS book will kick off in October with Avengers & X-Men: AXIS. Tie-ins bearing the “March to AXIS” title available in September include issues of Captain America, Loki: Agent of Asgard, Magneto, and Uncanny Avengers.

Magneto will be joining the "March to AXIS" on Sept. 10.

About The Author

Courtney is a returning reader to the world of comic books, drawn back in by the power of Tom Hiddleston's portrayal of Loki in the MCU and her attraction to broken antagonists with questionable hair. Favorite titles she's currently reading include Loki Agent of Asgard, Saga, Silver Surfer, Ms. Marvel, Gotham Academy, and The Wicked + The Divine. Older favorite comics are Lucifer, Sandman, Kieron Gillen's Journey into Mystery and Young Avengers, and Runaways. When she is not watching television or reading comics and novels, Courtney torments herself by attempting to write fiction. Her favorite apocalyptic scenario is the eruption of the Yellowstone supervolcano. She enjoys riding horses and distrusts chickens, which she considers to be merely T-Rexes in a clever disguise. One day they'll reveal their true colors and you'll see. You'll all see.
