Well my first answer to my own question about which villain I’d like to see as a hero was Doctor Doom, though Hickman kind of just did that in his recent Fantastic Four run. My other answer would be Lex Luthor, especially after playing the Injustice: Gods Among Us game. I just hate to leave any universe without an incredibly smart villain because I think they are some of the best adversaries in comics.

What about Bane? I think the idea of a luchador crime-fighter could be pretty great. Maybe during the day he wrestles and at night he injects himself with serum to fight crime as a hulked-out beast? Outside of Marvel/DC, I was also thinking any of the Saga “villains” would make great anti-heroes (Prince Robot IV, The Will), though you could argue that there aren’t really any villains in Saga since they all have good reasons to do what they’re doing.

On the subject of DC VS Marvel games, I think part of the problem with Marvel now is that they’re beholden to their movie properties so much that most of what we get from them are tie-in games to the movies or games aimed at kids. I think LEGO Marvel could be great though. However, DC hasn’t exactly been batting 1000%. Taking away the Arkham games, all they really have recently is Injustice and LEGO Batman. Their MMO didn’t exactly set the world on fire and their Green Lantern movie tie-in game was reviewed terribly. They also haven’t had a good Superman game since what, ever?
