Love this casting but what a strange film this will be. I’m not familiar enough with Chris Pratt to judge him as a leading man but from the brief things I’ve seen him in, I’m not 100% confident in the project right now. Not to mention Batista, who is definitely no Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson when it comes to actors-turned-wrestlers. But Zoe Saldana is a great addition!

I agree. I’m not familiar either with Chris Pratt and as for Batista, I’m not entirely sold on him. There was another person in the running for Drax the Destroyer, it was the actor who was on Game of Thrones briefly and he also played Conan. I think he didn’t get the part due to his agency asking for too much money.

Fantastic actress and she’s proven that she can own an action role!
My only reservation is that she seems to be everywhere and in everything right now. Certainly not a bad thing in itself, but I’m a little worried that a familiar face might be a distraction in what could be a difficult look to pull off on screen. “Look it’s Uhura painted green!!”

I can understand your reservation, I mean the Rock is everywhere too right now. I think it won’t be too much overkill though.

The casting for GotG seems a bit off to me for some reason. Pratt as Star Lord, Batista as Drax and now Saldana as Gamora. This is just a strange casting to me, though I plan on reserving full judgement until the movie comes out, but I am skeptical.
