Tomorrow Jones is back with this new issue and the story just keeps getting better! In the first issue, readers were introduced to a fourteen year-old girl name Tomorrow Jones. She’s from a family of superheroes who’s father overlooks her exceptional skills, and who’s mother wants her to conform to what a female superhero is protrayed as, and wants Tomorrow to wear a skin tight uniform.

At the end of the first issue, Tomorrow rebels against what her family wants for her. With rebellion comes consquences-both expected and unexpected and that’s where issue two is all about. Tomorrow has deal with the wrath of her parents and other issues that arise at school and in the public. At the end of the story, Tomorrow learns a valuable lesson about the relationship she has with her mother.

A few months ago, I reviewed the first issue of Tomorrow Jones (which will soon be available for purchase at Comixology) and I had a lot of positive things to say about the book. And after reading this issue, I have even more positive things to write. Where issue one showed that the book had a lot of potential, issue two has taken the potential of the first and has gone to new heights.

I really enjoyed the writing in this issue; it felt realistic, and honest.  I loved the character dynamics that were going on, especially between Tomorrow and her mother.  The story had great pacing and it really kept me invested in the characters. The artwork was great as well. There was a lot of action in this book and not only did Manadin convey those scenes well, he also convey the panels where there wasn’t as much action just as good. I really enjoyed not only reading this book but looking at it from a visual standpoint as well.

Verdict:

Buy it (You can buy the digital copy of issue #2 here)!  This is series has started off right. Support these indie creators.
