Don’t fret and don’t frown, Talking Comics is back for another week… albeit a bit delayed, but here for your listening pleasure nonetheless. As you probably know, yesterday was Independence Day and unfortunately due to that and a few other life-ish circumstances, we were delayed in bringing you our regular quirky banter. But we’re here now and that’s all that matters, right?

The weekly constant is our Book of the Week and after a little chitchat, things get going. After talking AvX and Before Watchmen’s latest turd, Bobby starts things off with Batman: Earth One. Steve then professes his love for Batman: The Dark Knight #10. Stephanie raves about a web comic, Sarah and the Seed (which you can check out by clicking here) and Bob rounds out the discussion with World’s Finest #3.

This week’s topic is the hottest movie in theatres right now and that’s The Amazing Spider-Man, starring Andrew Garfield and the too-cute-for-life Emma Stone. What does the gang think of it? Love it or hate it, I can tell you this: we all love Emma Stone EVEN MORE by the end of it. What do YOU think of The Amazing Spider-Man? Leave us your comments on the film below!

I promise you that if you haven’t seen this video yet, you need to watch it. WARNING: It WILL make you fall in love with Emma Stone.

Scratch the podcast… let’s all just look at photos and videos of Emma Stone…

The Comic Book Podcast is brought to you by Talking Comics (www.talkingcomicbooks.com), a blog dedicated to covering the latest and greatest in comic book releases. The editorial staff is composed of Editor-in-Chief Bobby Shortle (Fanboy Remix, Doctor Whocast), Stephanie Cooke (JoBlo.com’s Digital Dorm) and Steve Seigh (JoBlo.com contributor) who weekly dissect the releases and give you, the consumer, a simple Roman yay or nay regarding them. Our Twitter handle is @TalkingComics and you can email us at info@talkingcomicbooks.com. Until next issue … to be continued!

Stephanie is [obviously] a comic book fan, but she also considers herself an avid gamer, movie watcher, lover of music, board games fan (although she doesn’t find nearly enough time for them…) and being snarky. Oh, and Twitter. Twitter’s a hobby, right?…

What's your reaction?
