Cryptozoic LogoRecently I got my hands on some news about Cryptozoic Entertainment showcasing their latest game with DC Comics during San Diego Comic-Con. Cryptozoic has been a strong contender in the table top and card games industry, primarily with it’s flagship World of Warcraft trading card game and partnerships with Skybound/Image to create the Walking Dead board games. Now they’re making their play to partner up with DC to unveil a new trading card game. Come see how you can get in on trying out this game!

DC Comics: The New 52 Trading Cards and
DC Comics Deck-building Game
Launching in Summer 2012

Demo the DC Comics Deck-building game exclusively
at the Cryptozoic Comic-Con Store, 411 Market Street 

DC Comics and  Cryptozoic Entertainment, the premier developer of licensed and original games and trading cards including The Big Bang Theory: The Party Game andEpic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards: Duel at Mt. Skullzfyre, are partnering for an all-new deck-building game and a trading card set, both launching in late summer 2012.

Offering DC fans the opportunity to play as BatmanTM, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, Green Lantern, or Cyborg, the DC Comics Deck-building Gamewill be available for demonstrations for the first time exclusively at the Cryptozoic Comic-Con store at 411 Market Street, throughout San Diego Comic-Con.

The DC Comics: The New 52 Trading Cards will include a 61-card base set, each featuring brand new art commissioned exclusively for the set.

Honestly, I am excited to see this come about. I was a fan of the Vs. System before it went out of print and this game looks like it might be bringing that sort of atmopshere back in action. If nothing else the card art is a good aspect to draw people in. If I can find time during my SDCC trip, I might just wander on down to give this a try. See you there!
