On this week’s podcast, we’re bracing ourselves as Avengers vs. X-Men comes hurtling towards us. To help us understand what this new series is all about and to give us some background on the Avengers and the X-Men, special guest Alan Kistler joins us. Alan write the Agent Of S.T.Y.L.E. column over at Newsarama and hosts his own weekly podcast called Crazy Sexy Geeks. You can find Alan on Twitter @SizzlerKistler or check out his work around the interwebs.

As per usual, the gang also discuss their Books of the Week and this week Steve tackles Jungle Book #1, Bob flies off with The Rocketeer, Stephanie talks illusions with Smoke and Mirrors #1 and Bobby is all about Super Crooks #1.

In addition the gang takes some time to dissect The Hunger Games and whether or not you should check it out in theaters… Spoilers: you should.

About The Author

Managing Editor, Community Manager and Podcast Co-Host

Stephanie is [obviously] a comic book fan, but she also considers herself an avid gamer, movie watcher, lover of music, board games fan (although she doesn’t find nearly enough time for them…) and being snarky. Oh, and Twitter. Twitter’s a hobby, right? Stephanie is a purveyor of too many projects and outside of Talking Comics she’s done work for, Agents of Geek, Word of the Nerd, C&G Magazine, Dork Shelf, Misfortune Cookie (her personal blog for words and pictures) and more. She wrote a story for the anthology The Secret Loves of Geek Girls (coming in October 2016 from Dark Horse) and she also runs Toronto Geek Trivia in her home city. She can be found helping out at other “geek” community things around there.
