The very beginning of the month saw yet another controversial announcement coming from DC Comics. First it the DC New 52, then it was DC’s new logo and now they’re making fanboy heads explode everywhere by announcing the prequel series Before Watchmen. The announcement seemingly broke the internet as wide spread happiness and rage surged across social media platforms everywhere. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned? Ha. It’s more like “There’s no rage like nerd rage.” Naturally, the gang (sans one Steve Seigh) decided to tackle this as our Topic of the Week. So what are our thoughts on Before Watchmen? You’ll have to listen to find out!

We additionally discuss the brand spanking new trailers for The Avengers and The Amazing Spider-Man and of course, we discuss our favourite Books of the Week. Bobby chooses Ed Brubaker’s Winter Soldier #1, Bob chooses an oldie but a goodie with Squadron Supreme and Stephanie takes us back a bit with the Luna Brother’s The Sword #1.

But no more spoilers… you want know more about what the gang discusses on this week’s podcast? Then start listening! If you like what you hear, make sure to subscribe to us on iTunes and if you’re feeling really nice, make sure to leave us a review. And as always, we want to hear YOUR thoughts, so listen to Issue 17 and leave us a comment below with our new easy, peasy commenting system.
